I’m Lindsay,

the proud owner and operator of Renegade Roof Repair. My career in roofing began in 2015 as an apprentice. I started doing basic tasks such as ground cleaning, picking up trash and raking nails.

It took me a few months to learn all aspects of roofing but I was committed, and once I got the hang of it I was stripping and laying roofs from the ground up. Roofing is still a male-centered and male-dominated craft and though I had made it to become a foreman, it was a challenge to be taken seriously because of my gender. That is why I decided that I wanted to make a change.

I am a firm believer

That when the time is yours, you have to grab it. And that is why in 2018, I made the decision to go at it on my own. I wanted to help set a new standard and prove to myself and to future generations of young women, that a woman-owned business could thrive in any male-dominated industry.

Learning this craft has taught me a lot

about resilience and having the courage to follow my heart and intuition. It’s why I made a promise to myself to encourage and celebrate other women like me who also want to do what they love.

And let’s be honest, it’s badass to be a boss with a great team.
